you do realise the chances are you won't have the loom in the body for the rear windows!
I tried, I gave up!
easy way to check (I found afterwards) is to pull the rubber grommet on the rear door (near the hinge) and see how many wires are there
I have just secured everything I need to retro fit rear electric windows into my SRi. That's motors, wiring loom, switches and door cards.
Anyone ever done this mod before or helped anyone do it? Any willing volunteers to help me do it?
I've managed to get all the above, a replacement fuel cap central locking solenoid and a complete half leather interior, with door cards all for £310. Just got a mission on Saturday morning to go a collect it all.

gary k what should it look like then mate if I have enough wires? My guess is if I don't have the wiring loom in the car all I'll have going into the rear door is a couple of speaker cables and the central locking wires? So maybe 4 wires max?

I found this old thread on AON and this is what I've taken my information from: http://www.astraownersnetwork.co.uk/...p/t-60735.html
As I said, I've secured the looms, motors & switches - according to the info above I need the loom from the drivers door and the loom for both rear doors - sounds like a fairly straight forward job to the conversion.
correct, from memory theres a thick red and brown and the speaker cables only@gary k what should it look like then mate if I have enough wires? if its got the bodyloom (99% sure it won't have as VX went on a cost cutting exercise on the facelift) then they'll be two more
gary k I'll check it out tonight then mate. If I haven't got the body loom then the other looms that I'm getting will be no use to me will they? Not having anything to plug them into??!!
Here I was thinking it'll be a straight forward plug n play mod, most difficult thing being pop riveting the motors in place. Sounds like it might be more work than I thought.
