Tom, have a look at TX autosport as they do the kits, if you are unsure then send them an email enquiry and they can probably tell you what you'll need, you do realise that you'll need a remap to get the best out of a front mount I/C ???
Yeh mate, and thanks ill send em a message now
im saving up for some EDS IPF software because im looking to keep upgrading the engine power over the next year or 2 years so wana be able to re-map it myself
u think its better to save up or just get a cheap remap for now?
EDS will give you options you want to remap your car but it won't be as good as having the car on the rollers to get it live mapped, that will take all the characteristics of the car (exhaust, filter, cat converter, decat pipe, egr valve and intercooler etc) and make the most available power, EDS maps are good but they're generic and not fully suited to a modified car...
so would it be worth getting a live map and then also getting a EDS map aswell? or just save the money and spend it on the car?
How much am i looking at for a live remap mate?
any idea of any locals?
Save your money and then go somewhere that does live mapping, get it done once and done properly, the EDS is ok if you are happy to use a generic map, you might pay a few hundred quid for a live map but it's cheaper than getting an IPF...
Thanks mate and a live map it is then
Know of any places that do them??
you will need silicone hose as that is how the pipes are held together as chris said speak to tx autosport as they may be able to adapt the 1.9 intercooler kit to fit yours, i had to phone them to change a pipe in my kit. remaps i would go with a live map as chris said it will give you want you need, i am thinking of getting rid of my eds and having a live map hope this helps
