I believe as long as its coded and has right config setting yes it would be plug and play and if bc was enabled it would be fine
Got an Astra H life model, 2007 with TID
What I want to do is remove the stock headunit, fit a double din aftermarket headunit and change the TID to BID with trip computer
Couple of questions
Because I'm using an aftermarket headunit can I use any BID? Would it matter if its been paired with a different CD30 that I haven't got? So can I just grab any old used one off ebay?
Also am I right thinking that the trip computer function is programmed into the BID itself and not the ECU or something else in the car? So for example if I was lucky enough to buy a BID with trip computer already enabled and has the correct fuel sender settings it would simply be just plug and play?
Pecky can you chime in and help?
