Basically as the title says, I am building a track car, my previous vxr had the rec in the glovebox when I purchased the car, I thought it looked neat, so I wanted to do It to this one... Kinda wish id of left it alone now! I had to lengthen the loom that goes to the back of the car and marked each wire before I cut it and joined it. Now the car wont start! I'm getting codes saying can-bus fault and rear cim not recognised! I've checked the resistance on the canbus wires, and I'm getting a minus reading? ( does this mean I've missed an earth somewhere? There's also one small brown wire (which when I stripped the car was just laid under the boot carpet not connected to anything) my mate seems to think this is a proximity aerial, but I'm now wondering if it may be an earth!? Although when I checked it, it reads 8v? Should an earth read any voltage? The whole process is doing me in guys, to the point I'm not flipping sleeping!! Any help is deeply appreciated folks.
