I ran with a 120 cdti for about 2 years, unfortunately I never had any problems, but I'm sure someone will be along with helpful info
Apologies for not posting for a while.. having some serious problems with the car and well today it just gets worst.
For those who don't know i drove a cdti 120 vectra facelift
last night the car dropped into 'limp mode' and the necessary light pinged on. The few times this has happened previously i have stopped the car and turned it off and on again.. light goes off, car resumes to its normal state...
However Last night this happened, turned the car off and on.. The car is no longer in limp mode, but the light was still on and has remained on this morning... when I got half way down the road the battery light came on. This was on for around an hour.. and then turned itself off again typically as I arrived at my friends with his diagnostics etc....
The baffling thing is there are NO fault codes.. but the light is still on.
If anyone has experienced anything similar or knows of any problems that sound like this.. what did it turn out to be and how did you rectify it? And info would be appreciated
your alternator aint fooked is it?? dunno how that would put it in limp mode, but it would not charge the battery hence bringing batt warning up
I had the limp mode problem when my swirl flaps we're going, I turned it off then back on and it'd go away for a while.
Battery light could be your alternator as James said.
Could be two separate issues occurring at the same time
When I blew the alternator on my 120 I never had any eml just the battery light flickering then permanently on
When my alternator went on my h all hell broke loose loads of lights not just battery
Battery light was on and off, and I've had the alternator belt replaced a while back.. funnily enough all the lights have mysteriously disappeared again and she seems to be running smoothly once more.. il mention the swirl flaps idea to my diagnostics man, would that not bring up a fault code? x
Have u noticed if your windows have slowed down going up at all .my mate had a problem like that found out it was the alternator was on the way out not fully gone to bring up a fault code
