That was normal when I had. Mine. More than likely condensation.
Well I thing my Astra H is playing trick or treat on me.
Lol
The car in question is a Astra H SRi 1.9 cdti 150bhp.
Happened a few times, when starting the car from cold (read, car had been stationary for long hours, like overnight), it has a rough start and throws some grey\white smoke, unfortunately don't have a video to show you. Once started the first time I can switch it off straight away and it will start normal the second time and for the rest of the day.
The glow plugs where changed in the beginning of the year and there is no abnormal fault codes when using my diagnostics.
Trick or treat or real problem indeed?
Thank You,

Mine does this now if it has been sat still for more than a couple of hours really...
usually splutters abit abit then a puff of white/blue smoke then it's clear for the rest of the day then!
My mates has a similar problem. We though it might have been injectors dripping into bores overnight so we sent them to carwoods to be tested and they came back all fine so now we at a loss again
The very weird thing is that since saturday the car has been back to normal.... initially thought it was the starter motor...
