Seems odd. My advice would be to take back.. 20 miles is nothing.
Usually the reverse switch which powers the bulbs and any sensors or cameras is at the top end near the gear lever not by the gearbox iirc
I have just had my gearbox changed and i'm wondering if it's anything to do with that, i have just checked and all the bulbs are perfectly fine. i'm assuming that when they put the box back in they forgot to wire something up, is that going to be a difficult job if that's the case? i would rather not take it back there as it's a 20 mile round trip. cheers!

My reverse lights went on my old car, turned out to be the fuse so I'd give that a check first
Probably not plied the plug back onto the switch. Check the box for a unconnected black plug
Will either be the plug left off mate or the reverse light switch its self check them both by puttin wire looped into plug and see if come on mate
Good call matty
I have the same problem on my estate but I cannot see a wire anywere near the gear lever?
just done mine on the astra ,new switch 13 quid ,its on the box at the front facing the rad easy two minute job
Yeah more than likely the plugs off. And it will be on the box not anywere near the gear stick
