this is my worry when i come to do mine , heat is the only option really , just gently to break the rust seal , or cutting it off
Garage have just called to say that they have done the rear lowering springs but can't do the fronts as the top mounting nuts are rusted in place!!
The cups apparently were full of water and they can't move the nuts!!
Great - have to be standard ride height then!!
Any advice? They have covered it with wd40 stuff but still no joy!!

They can't cut it as it's recessed into the cup!! They must have tried heat - rarb is fitted though!!
Will see what my options are after 3pm
air gun (i think thats what there called, ones you can put the attachments on) should get them off no problem, no such thing as them not coming off
Tried air gun with socket but can't get to the Allen key on the top then to hold the strut to stop it spinning!!
I'm confused by it!!
Have you tried heating it up with blow lamp?
Heat will soon free them up
Now lowered lol
how did they get them off in the end ? keep looking at my daps in the box and thinking if i should bother now
They had a special tool but apparently they came off easily - they were slightly rusty though!!
