not unless you find a remapper to clone your existing one for you
Hi all,
If got a 03 meriva 1.6 petrol and it's got the old spanner light on and it to do with the throttle pedal. If checked the pedal and all is ok and iv checked all the loom from pedal to ecu and all good aswell. The 2 wire's both have 5v so it's the good old ecu. Last owner told me it was replaced a few years ago for same problem. What I would like to know if I get a second hand ecu can it be coded back to my car with out the pass code.

You need at least a carprog to get the code out of new ecu and also reset it. Get your car security code with opcom, from dash. Then program ecu to your car using opcom, body, immo, program immo function, replaced ecu. then reset bcm and dash, program bcm and dash. program canbus and variant config for car options, delete faultcodes from ecu and you're done.
Thanks il have a look for a carprog then and let you know how I get on.
