Issue with interior light - Astra H Twintop

Hi everyone again,

My car started to behave differently ...before, once I had locked the car with the fob the interior light would fade until it would be completely off and now it won't. The switch (circle with a line in the middle) is working to turning but, and the switches to tuning the lights individually have no effect on the lights. When I am driving I have to press the center switch in order to turning them off.

Any idea what could be causing this problem.

I had a similar problem, did you by any change replace the radio with aftermarket one with a CANBUS?

That seemed to be rootof the cause for me, it only happened when using internal lock button not locking via keys (which was fine). One way to fix (and I use that term lightly) is to set back seat lights to off, remove front bulb and boot bulb. Easy enough to remove the casing and slip the bulb out.

You can get lights to go off by disconnecting negative terminal and reconnecting but for me issue would keep occurring due to the radio / canbus communication.

Good to hear.

Was a pain for me as I didn't notice (due to lights taking extended time to tune off anyway) and it drained the battery twice!
