    cd70 screen (cid)

    i am getting a white cid screen on my cd70
    radio and cd player are fine re sound
    i have check connections and all fine

    i have read that it may be the hu or the screen

    how can i tell if its the screen or hu? somthink to do with the sat nav i know that much

      its not a cd70 (hu) fault its screen try removing vga cable from hu to screen and hope there is fault if not than possibly your screen is gone
      as hu transfers only map data to screen via vga cable all other radio cd info etc goes throe can bus

      Yep check at radio end and screen both ends are nearly same thats a vga cable

      still getting a white screen after removing vga plug so would you say its the screen thats packed in?

      Yes looks like a screen, have you dissambled it for decoding etc?

      first time i took it aprt was to check cable yesterday was thinkng about getting it done so i could get the VXR boot up screen glad i didnt now lol

      can any screen be upgraded to show the VXR logo? or is it just the BN ones?

      Hello ,,, I have an astra h, original radio, and I have a car pasw, cd 70 navi, I took the cid display, no code, and now it says on the display, display safe, what to do to do everything ,,, thanks
