Is the "hidden settings" by holding the setting button the stereo. Scroll through and it will give you the temp

Hi All
As I lost my engine, Z19DTH, probably as chain reaction for not beeing able to check engine coolant temperature, I would like to have temp gauge somewhere in front my nose for rest of my driving.
Anyone with experiance on retrofiting coolant temp gauge to advice proper place to install sensor?? As I did read arround, best place is thermometer housing as factory did to be able to read temp even if thermostat does not open. Drilling thermostat and installing probe there does not looks easy job for me.
Is there any other solution like picking up signal from existing sensor and sending to aftermarket gauge??
How about bleading valve on metal pipe in front of engine?? It has 10mm thread but I can make adaptor there to screw probe, but question is if that water is warm only once the thermostat opens??
Hope you get what I am saying even my English is not to good.
Thanks
Ivica

Insufficient and impossible as I have aftermarket HU.
My engine gone (head broke) even I never get coolant overheating lamp!!
Another thing, as my old thermostat sized little open, my engine was running always little cold(like 40-70 Celsius) and spending more fuel...much more fuel..
If it started to over heat, then it should have gone into limp home mode!

Got turbo gauge, but it doesent work with Zafi. Gave it to my wifes Clio...it works fine there.
Bought Depo Racing gauge, taped thermostat housing, put sender there, and now everything is fine.
I need to do this myself on my Zafira B.
If you still have the car could you post some images and a more detailed guide.
Thanks.
