    EEPROM reading astra H Rec

    Hi

I have just been playing around with a eeprom reading a astra H rec 25040 and tried to
get a code from Pecky's decode and it cant do it auto, could anyone take a look at the file
and see if it is incomplete or corrupt.

    Thanks

not a valid file on mine either, will have a manual look at it

file size reads as correct but it almost looks like its jumped a bit near the top, quick hacked some code together to read it

can you try another read please?

If its the same then I will amend code to read it properly and ask pecky to see if he will do the same.

      Hi Soulman

Yes please if you can, I have read it a number of times with the AT 25040 selected and always comes back as the same
and read another AT 25040 and looks very similar data so is it just my cheap read programmer up.

      Thanks

      Hi Soulman

Yes when you look at the HEX the vin has the W on one line then the rest on the next.
I have read the same again eeprom reca and another the of the same type and again W on line above
eeprom recb. I cant say if reca is the correct code till I put on a car and check with Tech2, recb I have the code for.

      Thanks for lookingrecb.binreca.bin

also the vin is repeated two throughout the eprom whereas the ones already coded into the decoder it appears once..

i wonder if its a different type of rec (as opposed to a bad read) not come across before

      @pecky

      Hi
The two Rec are the same type as used on astra twin top's pic of id below eeprom read on and off the board
      with the same Hex reading.
cim a I dont know the pass for
      cim b Pass is 5066.

I would have liked to get the decode from Rec's as I find it the easy way to get readings as I get
people coming along with no pass code and water damaged rec.

      Thanks for looking

Could you check the code works and if possible post another dump just to confirm the read was good.

I can then add this type to my decoder.
but the dump with pin-code is in only one chip, atmel 25080, i am right?
