Retro-fitting Park Pilot and DDS to Twintop

    Hi Pecky,

We have spoke (through forums) before over a number of issues last time was about the programming of the new UHP's I think.

I have just purchased a Astra Twintop to replace the wifes ageing BMW and would like to retrofit parkpilot and not been one for blank switches would also look at adding DDS if possible. The parkpilot looks very similar to the Vec-C but just wondered if you could offer any advise on the differences you had come across between the twintop and the 3 door Astra's. The wiring diagrams mention plug XC88 as well as XC21 and XC22 on the twintop which I need to look further into.

Also my current ABS module is "BL" I haven't found any details with regards to this module and wondered if it is compatible with DDS (DDS does show as a variant option on Tech2)

Looking further into this it appears that no speaker is fitted to the twintop, the sound is redirected to the CIM speaker via LSCAN, through pin 5 on XR1 on the REC, unlike the other Astra's which use pin 30 on XR5 (from memory) as well as a roof mounted speaker, can anybody confirm this.

I have worked out all the other connections for power, ground and rear sensors which all run through XC21 connector on the parkpilot ecu.

Also how difficult is it to change the ABS pump to one compatible with DDS, do I have to change the whole pump or just the ecu?

Does anybody know if the parkpilot module for the twintop has 3 sockets on it? XC21, XC22, XC88

Well finally all fitted and running the module required for the Twintop is p/n 93187852 with the numbers 13228779 and 0263004164 labelled on the module housing. This module does not require an external speaker and redirects the sound ia canbus to come from the CIM.

Still would like to add DDS but will leave this for the future
