Microphone not working with UHP4. Really quiet! Can I use any other microphone?

2008 Astra H Elite 1.9 8v 120HP

I have a CD70 Navi and a UHP4 retrofitted but nobody can hear me when I call, it's really quiet and the other person cannot hear me.

I was wondering if there is anything I can do like replace the microphone? Can I use any microphone with it to test it? Does the polarity of the microphone matter because on my retrofit kit I bought the connector was cut off so I had to solder the wires together on the microphone and loom.

Also my UHP4 isn't programmed properly, I get the Program UHP message on the CID whenever I use it, and also the voice commands are in German!

Is there anything I can do to fix this?

So the uhp4 works otherwise except the mic.

Yeah, apart from the mic it works fine

Have you got connectors in the mic lead?

Nope, they were snipped too

Yeah, I have this but the microphone wire had been cut on both ends so I had no connectors, so I directly soldered the microphone to the wire skipping the connector, so it's like this
