Anyone know which wire would be in charge of turning the led smd lights on and off with the ignition key? https://www.diagnostics.org.uk/help/...ent-IPC-Speedo

What I'm trying to do is do like the vxr button in the insignia vxr does and change the dial lights to red when the sport button is pressed on and turn them off when pressed off. I currently have the red leds fitted and wired in on the sport button which works but it's currently displaying both colours red and blue.

P.s. it's not pin 19 or 29 as already tried them

theres either a grey/yellow for illumination or its done via canbus

I've tried a grey and yellow wire and a grey and violet wire it still lights up. Did read a post on Google saying the illumination is done via canbus

Well, CAN bus command turns the lights on but I cannot see you reverse engineer the Micronas MCU code to turn on a different set of LEDs when sport button is pressed.
Forget about it, easier way would be to sniffing CAN traffic with Arduino and MCP for Sport mode signal and when it is active use the the the same arduino to switch beetwen
two set of LEDs. Intercept the power supply to the OEM LEDs on the IPC PCB and let the Arduino control it.
