Cruise control

Does anyone know if it's possible to reprogram the cruise control ratios on a mk4 astra?
I have change the gearbox to the six speed and all was working as normal. I have now replaced the sixth gear with a different ratio to reduce the revs but the downside of doing this is that the cruise control now only works in the first five gears :-( so I'm assuming there is a table in the ecu with a speed to rev limit and the new gearing is outside this

YOu are correct, road speed by RPM calibration table is in the ECU Flash/Map.

You need a tuner who has access to a DAMOS file for your ECU so he can re-calibrate the maps.

Difficult to find someone willing to do this job as it is rarely required and you need a deep understanding of the internal ECU
structure, function and calibration logic.

No diagnostic tool can help you with this.
You need chip tuning tools.
You go about this as you would remaping.

Depends on your budget but i presume you are not willing to spend 4000€ for a genuine tuning tool.
Clones are a risk so have a failover plan (ability to recover from a failed flash with Tech2 or a tool that can recover bricked ECUs)
Galletto, MPPS, Alientech, all should be able to write GM ECUs.

You need an editing software, definition files (damos/A2L).... Best start googling stuff.
There is a long road infront of you if you decide to do this yourself.

There are a few German damos nad. ols files floating around the internet for ME1.5.5 (Z20LET).
Just Google it, you will find them.
