    Fitting Cruise control to a 2005 Astra mk5 1.6sxi

I fitted the Cruise control stalk & dropped the cable & fitted the Clutch switch. But it still not program with the TECH2. I think its because it doesn't have all the the necessary wiring. Can you tell me what wiring is nessary all the way back to the UEC (fuse box under the bonnet), and what do you mean this can be retrofitted if required.
    Many thanks Vinny

It will always be possible to program with Tech2 in the required places. It only needs the stalk and clutch switch for the operation of cruise control. Has programming been attempted with a real handheld Tech2 or a cheap interface with a USB lead?

With regards to the wiring, it have been complete on all 1.6 Astras I have done to date. Only way to test is to plug tech2 in and test the operation of the clutch switch. If it says it is ACTIVE constantly then the wiring is missing.

      Hi Richard.
The Crise control was program with a real Vauxhall handheld TECH2 & the operation of the clutch switch was tested & tested working. It seem there a wire missing to the ECU, because ECU not picking up it up. Thanks Vinny

If the clutch switch can be seen physically working, but cannot be detected as working by connecting to the engine ECU and looking in the data, then it does look like you are missing the wire to the UEC.

If you have the clutch switch wiring behind the clocks, then the wire you need to add is from the connector behind the trim to the left hand side of the passenger footwell, through the bulkhead grommet behind the glovebox and then into the UEC.

These is a very good guide written by Stampede here - http://www.astraownersnetwork.co.uk/...ad.php?t=60437

The grey wire from the clutch switch as Stampede describes is easy to find at the connector in the foot well.
