    Clock Swap

    Hi All
I've just purchased a set of clocks from a 57 push start Astra SRi diesel for my 04 1.7.
Before I get it reset by Pecky I was just wondering if it would work in my car as it's key start and not push start ???
I've bought them so I can have the cruise illumination light and the sport button.

    Thanks

      Hello,
I did the same last year.
You can connect new dash (IPC) and test all lamps with Vaux-Com/Op-Com. You can test Sport button as well.
Simply you cannot start the engine.
When putting old dash back all will be fine.

      Regards,

Did you marry the new clocks to your car ?
I'm hopping that after the clocks are reset I can code them in to my car and they'll work and I can start the car !!!

Yes, new clocks are successfully installed and programmed since more than an year already. Respectively I have cruise control lamp and Sport button active.
Very important to mention that intervention was performed under Tech2 session with person, who know proper procedure for replacement.

If you have Tech2 then you are good to go, however using Op-Com/Vaux-Com is not good approach.
