you cannot use a astra screen in a vectra, the way it reads things like fuel / range / etc etc is totally different. you need a vectra display mate.
Hello,
A while back my cd30 with TID broke and now i got a cd30mp3 and its paired GID display from an astra h, I've managed to fit it and the display with no problems and almost everything works fine.
Problem is the steering wheel buttons won't work even though it is enabled in the CIM (using op-com) and it doesn't switch on or off with the ignition even though it is selected in the settings and it does not read the temperature or the gas and mileage.
I do have an op-com and access to a tech 2 would be extremely expensive in for me.
So is there anything i can do with the opcom to make any of these options work?? and if not what other options do i have??
My car is a vectra c 2007 used to have a cd30 with a TIDand i do have the pass code for it, and the cd30mp3(Delphi) is a 2006 model came with it's paired GID (SiemensVDO).
Thank you all, and sorry for making this long.

Can it at least turn on and off with the ignition and make steering wheel buttons work??
also a dealer told me he can get them to work but was very expensive, so can you tell me what he was talking about or he don't get it right??
Thanks a lot
No chance to get them working without complicated things.
Your dealer possibly had no clue that screen is from astra.

thanks for the response, he knew but i don't really think he has done it before.
but if there are even complecated things to do to make it work can you tell me where i can start??
canbus analyser..
arduino, coding skillz and and lots of testing
speak to the guy in another post who is looking into this sort of thing with canbus traffic
Not too much things to do
If you look at them screens you will find that they got fully same internals apart from firmware
Swap flash chips and you are good to go as long as your old screen hasnt gone completelly and you can reuse chip
With cid its different storry

Thanks all
If it was simple as swapping flash chips that would really make my day, but i used to have a TID so i don't think they would be compatible at all, but may be I can buy a broken screen from someone but what exactly screen would have a compatible flash??
the GID I have now is SiemensVDO SE 13178570
again thank you all for your help, and sorry for making this post so long.
