    Help. CD30 to CD70 conversion

    Hello

i was hoping somebody could help me: I have an Astra H 1.7 cdti 2006

I want to upgrade form my CD30 with a GID (Blue) display which Pecky kindly fitted for me years ago. I have just bought a CD70 and CID (24461297 QN) for a Vectra C 1.9 2004 from ebay. They are married and work but when I come to use OP-COM to change the fuel etc the software doesn't communicate with the units. Can any body help or have I wasted my money by not doing the proper research?

    Regards

refit the cd30 and gid, does it communicate then? if no you have an issue with opcom... if it works refit the cd70 or gid (one at a time) and try to communicate.. There is no reason why it should not communicate with the new radio and screen

Thanks I have managed to get to fit. Just not able to communicate to change with op-com. As you say the firmware may be different.

the radio is definitely the same and should communicate and so should the display as I fit them to the test rig on the workbench without any issues.. Ive also pulled out a radio and display from an Astra and fitted on the bench without any issue (set up for a vectra)
