Question CID and CD70 Navi Query

    Hi

I fitted a CD70 Navi with CID yesterday and paired up with my Zafira with my Opom, all looks to be working ok however I noticed when the car cuts off power as it does after being sat for say 10mins or so the screen presents a scrambled display then turns off.

The pair is orginially from a Vauxhall Astra would this be the problem or could it be a cable fault.

Also be interested to know if Aux is possible to program or is it dependent on whether it has the internal components present.

My job for this afternoon is running the GPS aeriel as will be having the radionout again to check teh connections.

    Cheers in advance
    Roy

Not sure about the screen, maybe you need to change the index code to Zafira and not Astra H.
As for the AUX, the CD70 may need to be modified to make that work.
There are a few How2 on the internet.

The GPS aerial is a bitch to do, run a piece of fine cable or a bit of wood beading through the roof lining and the tape the aerial lead
      to it and pull.

If your cd70 is made late 2007 it should have all aux in parts so if its like that get an update cd from vx costs around £10, once it done change code index to aux in one

The CD70 has AN on the top and the cid has KS on the label. Thinking this maybe the old version but could be wrong.

Looking at pics of the unit I have it has pins present bottom right where the radio connects into the main harness.

If the 3 pins are present then it should just need the update.
Do you have a part number on top of the CD70, i can check what year it is

Having the 3 pins on the radio does NOT mean it is there, that is bad info...

the ident on the radio determines if its there from factory or not unless its been retrofitted.

I believe AN (for astra) is the same range as vectra (AE) which was one of the very first early ones which wont have it..

Just looked it up, and as suspected its one of the very early ones.. very much doubt it has it otherwise the firmware would have already been upgraded

and btw, thats not the Vauxhall part number..
