Interior light fault

Hi looking for some help into a issue i have....
my interior lights work when turned on manually ie by each switch on the light. But they do not work when you open the door or unlock the doors, it is a Nurburgring edition with keyless entry.
we have removed the door switch /lock and this is working fine and locks as it should.
What connects the interior lighting to the door lock is it the door module (part number 13191677) or the door handle itself.
Any help in resolving would be appreciated as its bugging me now lol

Its easy to check open each door one by one and check light on dadhboard if it shows doors open warning than doors has nothing to do with it. Than its down to uec

Thanks for that it was a great help, when opening the doors the door open light does come on on the dashboard.
My next question is what is a UEC odd did you mean ecu?
And any idea where I go from here now we have eliminated the doors as the fault ?

Uec is fuse box under bonnet. Check for any signs of water

No water ingress bud, car is kept garaged and has been for 2 years.
I will check everything in the fuse box as I inherited the problem when I bought the car but it was kept outside by its previous owner.

Well if we can rule water out, than it can be couple of things uec still getting faulty, cim on its way out, or just something with coding.

The cim was replaced under warranty but can't remember if I had another issue which was cim related.
If I source a new cim will it need re programming?
