Bench Loom

I've got quite a collection of stereos and displays from my cars, I never divorced them properly and want to sell them on.

Rather than keep taking my dash to bits I would like to build a bench loom.

What modules do I need as a minimum?

Any tips would be appreciated.

Depending what car you have.
I have a complete full can vectra c dash loom.
I have a modified CIM (no keys needed )
Bcm
And 12v power supply.

if its just radio and screen you need to get fired up, then radio plug, and screen plug (32pin) and obd plug..

Connect +ve to obd, radio and screen pins... -ve as well, join mid speed can to all 3 items and thats basically it.. and a cim unit if you want to send it a 'key in ignition' switch

Progressing with this, managed to get a full dash loom from a Mk5 Astra 1.8 for a fiver from scrappy. Whats the best thing to use as a power supply?

i use an encased 12 5amp brick type of thing..

I use a PSU from an old PC, 240v in 12v out perfect

very neat and tidy what i use and very unobtrusive in use, can be left on the floor and just run up the twin core cable with a connector on it for quick release... We use these in our industry for many uses and are reliable
