    UHP 4 Programing

    Hi all,

One of my friend has bought a UHP4 and the loom.
We tried to program it after installing it but every time programing fails.

I think the UHP has not been divorced from the previous car.
Is there any trick to reset this UHP in order to program it in the new car?

    thx

If it isn't divorced, the only way to clear it is to SPS the firmware again using Tech2.

Are you using OPCOM? does the bluetooth module have a 2010 production date?

I did read that the latest pirate version of OPCOM cannot program the 2010 UHP code index and possibly more

You will have no problem then once you have completed the SPS programming.

You do need to fully program all the settings in UHP module and adjust Mid speed can settings on all modules on the Mid network BEFORE the theft protection will program.

This means that using SPS on any controller will reset the security code stored in the memory?
      Thanks Pecky.

      Have a nice day.

No, it means it will ONLY do it for the UHP4 and nothing else.

The security code is in the MCU that gets overwritten during SPS on the UHP4

Every other module has the security code in a separate EEPROM or other chip that is not overwritten during SPS

      Dear Pecky

I have another issue. Actually the UHP module was linked to an Astra H.
One of my friend has bought this Astra UHP and its loom to fit in a Signum (CD70)
He wired them to his car and tried to program it. (UHP, DIS, CIM, EHU)
Everything works fine but on the CID it appears 4 tabs and the tab of teh Phone is empty.
He cannot access to the phone tab.

Is the wiring of the signum different between Astra H and Signum.
      I don't think so.

Something goes wrong but I can't figure out.
      Have you a feeling?

      Thx

Wiring is exactly the same between astra and signum. I have fitted a few to the signum without problem.

Check the wiring, it is either no power to UHP or canbus wires are not correct.

but he was able to program UHP through with the Tech2?This means that the wiring is correct and UHP is powered

it is strange because it was working in a astra H....

      Thx
