The front board with the LEDs doesn't have any coding, so as long as the same type it is interchangeable. There are many types so you need to be careful the one you get matches.

Hi, I changed the leds on my cd30 mp3 from stock to a mix of white and red and they worked fine for a day, and now no longer work at all.
I was wondering can any CD30 board be put into my headunit and work no problem? Or will I come across the pairing problem? by any I mean will it need to be a cd30 mp3? as that's what I have or will the cd30 non mp3 work?
Also, as I will be changing the LEDs again, can I please get a link to a reliable source for the white and red pointleds?
Many thanks,
Liam

Thanks for the reply. I'll match the part number and hopefully all should be well then.
I bought my pointleds from RS, so I must have made a mistake when soldering as on inspection two resistors(?) look goosed. and the LEDs themselves do still work.
thanks again, Liam.
Apologies for the double post. Is there any chance you could link me to the exact red and white pointLEDs I need? As there are a few choices and I want to make sure I'm definitely buying the right ones.I used to get my point LEDs from http://uk.rs-online.com/
