    UHP4 question

    Hello all,

Hope my post finds you well!

It's been quite some time I didn't have chance to follow the forum and to proceed with upgrading my car.
In the last days I found Zafira B with CD70 Navi, CID screen and UHP4 module. Car is broken and those parts are for sale. Everything is working well. But security code is not known.

Person, who is selling those parts told me that he is not aware how to disassemble and what exactly to send me. So I will visit him and will take what I need.

My question is what exactly I need? For display, RGB cable, headunit and GPS antenna I have no concerns. I'm not sure about UHP4 module.

    - where is it located in Zafira (in forum I found Pecky's description where it is located in Astra);
    - location of microphone it's the same as in Astra, I believe;
    - sice I will take everything from one car, will it work directly, without asking for security code on my Astra? (I still will be able to change code index of display in order to show correct range)
    - can I extract all cables from Zafira and use them in my Astra?

I know that need to take the UHP4 module, the microphone, but I'm concerned about cabling. This person told me that I can take everything I need.
Hope you can guide me here.

    Regards,
    Nikolay

Apologize that I didn't raise the thread in the correct section! I just realize it: Forum > General Information > Modifications on tech2.guru > Bluetooth UHP4

for the UHP<>CD70 connection i would suggest a third party loom:

since i dunno if the Stock loom would fit to Astra.

Code Index for UHP can be taken from here:

Thanks for this clarification n0tiert. I would go this direction - using custom loom. And what about programming? Since all components come from one car, is there any programming of anitheft protection needed for UHP?

@ Pecky, I have checked in shop section and it seems that there is no loom available at the moment. Are you planning to prepare some loom soon? Or maybe you will advise where to look for?

      Regards,

You could read out cid eeprom, divorce it with code from eeprom dump and then marrie it with your car code.

Usually it could work, but for further investigations i would divorce it.
      Just to be save.

Sure, I will definitely read out the eeprom from CID. My main concern is cabling. I couldn't find anywhere only the loom is for sale. I have searched in net and it seems that cabling for UHP is implemented in main loom. Not separate cables. Since I will have chance to disassemble the donor car I would be able to extract cabling, but it seems that it won't be possible. I found picture for microphone, for example, where green connector from mic goes to lightning plate, where connects to the main loom.

Any advice will be great here!

Take the donor car original connector from UHP and Build own Loom:

BT ECU Connector Pin 13 to Pin 9 Radio Connector Radio (Can-Bus wire)
BT ECU Connector Pin 14 to Pin 10 Radio Connector (Can-Bus wire)
BT ECU Connector Pin 27 to Pin 34 Radio Connector
BT ECU Connector Pin 11 to Pin 40 Radio Connector
BT ECU Connector Pin 23 to Pin 11 Radio Connector (Radio silent)
BT ECU Connector Pin 32 attach 7,5A Fuse between to Pin 15 Radio Connector. (UHP should have a separate fuse)
BT ECU Connector Pin 16 to Pin 12 Radio Connector (Ground)

Take good isolated cable for that part:
BT ECU Connector Pin 25 to white wire of Microfon.
BT ECU Connector Pin 9 to black wire of Microfon.
Leave brown wire of Microfon disconnected.

or wait till Pecky has it in stock

With this information picture is quite more clear now. I have solderin iron, so I will solder wires from UHP Connector to car loom directly. I have already bought the same GPS antenna, otherwise whole rear part of the car should be disassembled.

And regarding shielded cable for microphone, can I use this one?

I have already bought some heat shrink tubes, when installed custom loom for Sport button.
