If only there was someone in Essex you could pop to to read the code out your ECU Kit
I can get car pass from VIN, but it ain't cheap, You are far better off asking Soulman nicely to do it for you.

Hi there. got an issue my my Vectra Special...still, on the third engine and just swapping out again. My replacement is from a scrapped car, and has the ECU on it - I have read the ECU and got the chassis number off it - but I can't reset it without the passcode. I have been to the dealers before for a passcode but with a V5. As this is from a scrapped car (as I did ask for the rear electric module)...Can anyone help / point me in the direction of someone who can get me the security code from the VIN? Thanks
if oyu can get the REC and know how to pull an eprom file then we can find out the code, or I know someone who can get the PIN from VIN cia the GM Portal but costs approx £35 to do so.
Yeah thanks Soulman, sadly the car had been scrapped and i din't get the REC (which would have made life easy...). I'll pop to my local VX dealer (i am there on Tuesday getting a couple of gearbox drain plugs) see what they say, but I would probably be prepared to pay £35 to get it from the VIN and reset it.
