    CID Screens

    Good day to you all,

I need some help here. Does anybody know why I can only use an Antara CID in my Antara? I would assume that screen sizes are different from other models but would like to know for certain if this is the reason why.

Alternatively, if I could locate a full setup from the same car, what would I need to do to get it working in mine?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

It is usually down to screen size firstly and then secondly down to the firmware inside the screen. Different cars use different sensors and the data they put onto the canbus in the car can be different.

So a non-antara screen may be listening for one format of data, but the car is sending another format.

This affects the board computer and outside temperature normally which will just stop working or display garbage.

That is very helpful, thank you.

So then, if I get a setup from an Antara, will it essentially "plug and play" or will I be booking some time with you to get it fired up?

Plug and play normally, there isn't that much to program on an antara.
