I have a cdc40 2007 year and instead of the usual dab pins on label it says aux , does this mean its able to do aux or is it just a revamped label

the dab module uses these to input its audio..
ok so no proper aux then
its is an aux-in.. if you cut the three wires to it you can put a jack plug on it and use it as aux-in.
downside is you will lose the audio from the dab.... and u actually still need the dab in and on for it to work.
but some people have made a two way switch so they can switch between dab audio and their own input.
