ICV issues Corsa D

Having issues with what I believe to be my idle control value, low RPH when idle and the occasional cutting out but all round still works normal most of the time. Took the car to a Vauxhall specialist garage and they said it could be an air leak causing this, maybe due to the RamAir cone filter fitted. So this afternoon I replaced this with the stock panel filter and still sitting low on RPH so concluded it's nothing to do with the air filter so placed the louder one back on for now. ( think about K&N panel filter for winter ) So come to the conclusion it's the ICV which needs replacing. Garage was going to charge £250 for the work to be done.

Anyone had similar issues with an 09 Corsa D or know what this might be, places which will do the work cheaper

Maybe my MAF sensor?

maf sensor can cause low idle or rough idle when you change your filter its always best to give the sensor a clean aswell at the same time, if your using oil based air fiter the oil can get through and onto the meter head and can cause it to run lean on idol when the throttle is closed on idol so its not getting enough air but when open it does

as stupid as changing a filter it should be mapped in which has been proven by rabbid when mapping one of his clients cars when the filter was fitted it ran lean

get your self some maf cleaner and give it a couple of sprays dont get using anything else that can leave a residue on the element

Thanks. Guessing the MAF just comes off with a good tug from videos I've seen? Will look into MAF Cleaner I think it may be that. Worth giving it ago rather then spend loads at a garage for no result!

It just rules it out then if it's still does it then look into what else it can be.

a split hose will cause a vacuum leak and sometimes that can affect idling too, check all hoses and do the cheap to repair stuff first before spending on the more expensive stuff
