If youre referring to ambient lighting in the doors then take them from the electric window circuit mate
Hi all,
I'm looking at a way of fitting ambiant lighting to my car. The lenses are already factory fit and so are the holders which take plcc2's.
I want to make a loon to power 2 red ands but I'm not sure if these can be soldered in circuit and where I could power them from.
Any ideas?

It's in the headlining. I have some smds and resistors bit not sure where or how to connect them. There is a sunroof blind switch that lights up near it and I tried it today couldn't get it to work. The loom for the ambiant lighting is actually in place but on mine it is damaged and not repairable :/
This is what I'm trying to do, the frosted lens should glow red
Could do with a basic circuit diagram going from +12v to smds and resistors then to ground. Will these be in sequence or in series?
You can do them in series or just buy some led strips and then you won't have to worry about soldering or resistors etc
Was looking at the led strips bit I only need 1 smd per side and could only find multiple ones
Just buy 12v LEDs then rather than messing about with soldering them up to resistors etc, it sounds like there's a much easier way than what you're proposing to be honest.
Never thought of that. I just want the easiest way to get 2 red leds to light up when the dash illumination is on
2 x 12v red LEDs with fly leads already attached off ebay, job done
