Best air intake setup for my 1.7cdti

So I was going to go for a K and N 57s enclosed induction kit for my car, but heard it won't make much difference.
So I've been thinking of going down the route of the larger vec c intake pipe and possibly de-restricting my air box/larger air box (1.9).
Anybody tried any of these setups and have any opinions ?

it never hurts to have increased air flow so a 1.9cdti air intake pipe (which is the same as the VXR intake) will help with that, any cone filter setup will just induce heat soak unless you go all out and make sure that it's properly segregated so as to avoid any heat soak from the engine. The problem with induction kits is increased noise which is great on a petrol car but you don't want to advertise the fact that you are driving an oil burner any more than you already are.

What the boss said. Each the there own on induction setup. I personally wild change my I take back from an open cone lobe the noise however as chris says it probably does get exposed to heat soak so some mods to get it sorted

I had the K&N 57s and felt the difference, and it sounded better than standard looked nice under the engine bay too

Not sure now, I was gonna go for the

It's all enclosed so should stop heat soak. But if I mod my own set up I can spray it to match my engine cover etc

Won't come with any of that pipe work though m8, you'll just get the filter and top to your existing airbox
