    new 2.0cdti engine

    Vauxhall will be revealing a new 2.0cdti 170ps engine at paris motorshow. Ive just read the specs looks impressive with 400nm torque

      Any more details yet Luke ? and more importantly, will they build a gear box to cope with the power this time

      Id imagine they will but i think this engine is going to have a few techs pis*** off. If im right this engine is going to be built with the timing chain on the gearbox side of the block and for a timing chain replacment the gearbox will have to be removed.

      I can see that going down an absoluet storm with the techs then and it aint going to be cheap for a TC replacement for the consumer either

      We've got the F40 and TBH, Ive had a tech tell me they replace quite a few, but the forums aren't littered with people having bearing changes, so they can't be that bad.

      Considering the Bi-turbo can knock out that torque and 196bhp, they could map the current lump to 170 without any great issue i'm sure.
