So I've got my 18's
But they have got 225/45/18 tyres on, 2 good/2 bad but all legal. Now do I go and get a full set of 225/40/18's (mid-range) or get 2 x 225/45/18's (decent ones).
And does anyone know of anywhere doing decent deals on tyres ATM ?

Its up to you which profile you want mate.. Not down to price really
as jay said, but remember if you change the tyre profile, you change the overall rolling circumference, and this will put your speed out, only marginally though on the sizes your looking at.
i always get my tyres from camskill, then just get a local garage to fit and balance them. much cheaper, and they also offer short term finance on sets of tyres too which is a big help
It's not really price (well, it is a bit) I'm worried about, just can't see the point in wasting a reasonabley good set of tyres to replace with another set if they fit/look ok.as jay said, but remember if you change the tyre profile, you change the overall rolling circumference, and this will put your speed out, only marginally though on the sizes your looking at.

Forget it, just tried one on and it doesn't look right on 45's. Time to google and do some bargaining.
