    Lightbulb CDR2005 to CD30 MP3 Retrofiting

    Hi everyone,

I want to ask something to those that can help me... I have a Corsa C from 2001, with a CDR2005, non canbus system, is it possible to retrofit a CD30 MP3 in my car?

I read a lot in the internet, but didn't find out anything specific.

    Regards

    Daniel

it is possible but you will need rewire loads, and you will need different screen and forget about steering buttons as they wont work

I know I need to rewire the radio wires to the new one and to rewire the TID wires... but why the steering buttons will not work? The Corsa C mk1 and mk2 have the same steering wheel controls and they work in mk1 and mk2 without problem.

Also the Radio is not divorced, whw can obtain the radio and TID codes, from the EEPROM right?

      Regards

buttons wont work because they use kwp2000 protocol for controling radio but cd30 use can bus and cim module is needed
yes codes you can get from eeproms

Why the buttons won't work? (they're simple resistors)

Also the Corsa C does not have a CIM, neither in the pre Can Bus, neither in the Can Bus version...

Sorry about all the questions, but before I make things I want to know every details.

      Regards

I know they don't have cim, will check wiring diagrams later to make sure what is different.

results what i found from wiring
pre can cars: remote buttons goes to radio directly

      can cars: goes to display

i would say if you will go for corsa specific screen and radio not from astra/zafira or vectra than it should work cant say 100% but by wiring screen takes signal converting to canbus
and get some parrot leads and visit scrap yard you will need 32 pin connector you can find it in zafira b, astra h vectra c 2005+ or you can ask pecky maybe he got some

      Thank you for the response.

I have a quadlock connector here, and the 32 pin I think is easy to find in Ebay.

Could you please send me the wiring diagrams for CDR2005 and CD30 MP3?

      Regards
