Is it a case of plug and play with HIDs in the fogs then?
Is it a case of plug and play with HIDs in the fogs then?
depends on the plug behind the fog, i had to change the plug to get mine fitted
Astra H - Fogs dont need to be canbus. HIDs are plug and play.
Ive order hids and what you mean a plug behind the fog. There isnt ont you just plug into the live and plug into the earth. Job done
When fitting hids do you need to do any extra work? Ive read peoppe fitting ballasts ect. Whats the deal with them? Are they hard to fit?
Ive got leds in mine but not working going to try and sort them out this weekend but they were only cheap so dont mind binnig them tbh...
Ginger_Jez you have to fit ballasts when installing HID's (but they come as part of the kit) the reason for the ballast is because HID's need 10,000 gigawatts to fire into life , they also draw more voltage when they're on so the ballast sorts all that out. Never leave them on without the engine running else your battery will be flat in about 10 minutes.
That sounds abit too risky for me...id be jumping my car every fekkin morning lol
