    Irmscher Grill Signum Facelift

Hi all - fresh to the forum and I'm having trouble with fitting an irmscher grill to my facelift (56 plate) Signum. I have read bits and bobs that it is a bumper off job to remove the original chrome v grill and refit the irmscher one? Anyone help - is there a guide etc the instructions from irmscher are not much use!

    Cheers fir any help

Not sure personally mate, welcome to the forum by the way My mate has had this problem before on a Vectra C, not sure if he ever got around to removing it all but we have a few Vec C/Signum owners on here so I don't think it will take long for someone to come along and give you some advice

Yes yes, its a bumper off job to get the whole thing fitted..

I have a Facelift Vectra C (virtually the same front end) and i've fitted an irmscher grill myself

the chrome front and badge can come off easily with out taking the bumper off, incase you wanted to spray it, but the back piece (the black grill itself) is clipped onto the bumper where the bumper meets the bottom of the grille ASWELL as a couple of screws at the top holding it to the rest of the car.

Bumper off jobby is not too hard, just a little time consuming...

Inside wheel arches need unclipping and unscrewing
unscrew and detatch the under trays from the underside of the bumper (the under trays do not physically have to come off the car)
the sides of the bumper that meet the fenders will push up and unclip.

that for me would be the bumper off... and it should be the same for you

with the bumper off, you should be able to see the clips and teeth across the bottom that you weren't able to access before, and this entiwnned with some clips and screws at the top edges bumper should enable you to remove the old grille and replace with the new!

same steps to put it all back together etc

Cheers for the replys! I'm going to tackle this when its fine weather - our car has the headlight washers in the bumper so i assume these can just be disconnected. The backing plate for the new grill looks huge in comparison with the grill space but i suppose it will all slot in when taken apart. I'll do an update and some pics when i can.
