I figured it's about time I posted up details of my current build. I made the decision in September last year to part with my pride and joy Astra Twintop 1.9CDTI. Here's a picture of it when it was at the peak of my tinkering:





The thing that was really missing with this car was the noise... the economy was good, but the noise the car made didn't appeal to me at all. So at this point, in comes the idea to swap the car for a 2.0T version.

A few months, and a handful of viewings, later and I found the one for me; 2008 Vauxhall Astra Twintop 2.0T in Air Blue metallic:





The day after I bought it, the tiny 17" alloys came off in place of my 19" VXR alloys:



There have been numerous changes since; 8000K HID kit, LED sidelights, VXR indicator surrounds, debadged boot etc.

I also had a mad month where I bought loads of stickers for the car, but I've had a change of heart and I will be peeling them all off.

One of the best things I've done to the car so far happened a few months ago. Opted for wheel spacers and got all four corners sitting an extra 18mm further out:

Lovely car mate, looks nice with the spacers fitted, gives it a wider look. I purchased some 20mm spacers for mine but I'm too low on the front, if I fitted them I'd end up destroying my arches.

Looking forward to seeing what else you do to this.
