Just got back from Grimsby, pop over tomorrow and I'll read the activations to see if it gives a clue.

Update: went to see our resident tech 2 magician this afternoon and after plugging the car in, he has interrogated the alarm to read off the 10 previous activations, they were as follows:

1. Break glass sensor
2. Break glass sensor
3. Break glass sensor
4. Break glass sensor
5. Break glass sensor
6. Break glass sensor
7. Break glass sensor
8. Break glass sensor
9. Break glass sensor
10. Break glass sensor

So after scratching his head for a while, he figured out it was something called a break glass sensor

In the estate model variant, there are break glass sensors in both of the rear side windows and they consist of 2 leads that plug into a set of dimples attached to the glass, one of these had either broken down or was damaged in some way even though they haven't been messed with for over 6 months, the last time was when those same windows were tinted.
Rich simply disabled them via tech 2 and although this may be cause for concern to some, the fact is that if any one did try to break in through those side windows, the interior ultrasonics would immediately pick up any movement and trigger the alarm anyway. The only downside I can find is that since having the car on tech 2, my anti hijack has been switched off or reset back to a non active state.

Conclusion: Pecky (as usual) has sorted it and (as usual) is a total genius I honestly don't know what we'd do without him sometimes... Thanks mate, I owe you one
