    error 1243 SRi Turbo

I found this code today when I got in my car, Started it up and it just cut out with the spanner light flashing.

Google has told me that it is the turbo boost solenoid? How would I go about checking this?

It could also be the recirc valve. To my knowledge it is still the standard one and I have no idea if it is split.

How can I find the recirc valve to check it. Obviously if its gone I will swap it out for an after market item.

    Cheers!

the recirc is right on the turbo.. if looking down inside the bay its to the left of the turbo and should have a vac pipe coming off it theres 3 bolts holding your recirc onto the turbo housing..

boost solenoid could be your map sensor on way down your boost pipe from the tophat..

it fired the EML due to a boost leak i would of thought and not run.. as thats why its popped up with the solenoid fault and as you say you might have a faulty recirc or split pipe somewhere.

Ideally you need a boost gauge and renew all vac lines and do rear bcs bypass, fit whatever your having (recirc or baileys etc) and jobs done

that all sounds incredibly complicated. I see if i can see my recirc on the weekend to see if it just looks past it and i'll get a new one.

However the BCS sounds a bit more complicated to find and look at.

I used a code reader with a boost gauge on and i don't get very high levels of boost ever. So im inclined to think it is the recirc valve.
