Diesel tuning options

I have the 120 cdti engine - I'm thinking off a dtuk box but thought about a dump valve.

Anyone done this on there diesel? Any pics and advice really welcome.

As far as I know there isnt a point of a dump valve on a diesel. If you want the dump sound just get an open cone filter and it will make a similar sound and a straight through exhaust. As for DTUK boxes - remaps are much better as its a smooth power delivery and get a custom one not a generic one as thats what the box will do.

Do you have the 1.7 120 Bhp engine or the de tuned 1.9?

Could also blank the egr valve off and get your inlet manifold cleaned. That will increase performance

I had a box on my h and was bang on I loved it and not the rip off dtuk box I had a dynamic diesel box @£79.99 as for a dump valve I know a cuple of ppl who have one on the diesels and the sound really good

Doesnt it decrease performance though on a diesel? Or just doesnt do anything?

I had a dtuk box on my 1.9 150 h... Was fine on mine went like stink to be honest

I was on about the dump valve not the tuning box...i thought it was something to do with pressures being different from petrol to diesel turbos??
