2.0 Sri Turbo Modifications

Hi I have just got myself a 2.0 sri turbo 3dr and i want to start playing with it.

The only problem is there isnt much information out there about modifying it. I can only find parts and tutorials for the VXR mk5

I know there was only a short run of the Sri turbos as to not ruin the VXR sales but id still like to bolt some bits on.

So if anyone has any info on if i can bolt VXR parts on or if i should look at zlet modifying to get some ideas then please post some!

It should be a z20lel or ler, most vxr parts will fit straight onto it. [MENTION=16]benz[/MENTION] had one and was a pretty quick motor, looked the part too

Cheers for the reply. Im glad that the VXR parts go straight on. its the same block in theory just with out the forged pistons and the under piston oil sprays, but i wasnt sure on if the parts would go on or not

It's basically a zlet then, that's the same no squirters no forged bits

A fair few of us have that engine on here and are seeing good figures

Thats alright then, Ive decided so far that I want some solid boost pipes and a new top hat, maybe a FMIC.
I'll want a vxr maf and recirc valve soon but im toying between that and a dump valve

Welcome mate.. Well so far there is only chris (the gaffer) thats commented who hasnt got a zlet/h all the rest of us have so you defonately chose the right place.. As said mate any queries just post up and we will help.. Can see good figures quite cheaply.. Fire away mate and gets some photos of the motor up

Ideally I'm after a top hat and a power pipe to start with I'm just deciding on a recirculation valve. Or a Bov. With it being a zLer being a mk5 3dr. It's only on a 170 bhp map standard. Would a remap ruin my clutch and turbo?
