Safe to remap?

Morning!

Got a quote the other day from 'SPTuning' in Burbage, they say they can push my 120bhp to 165... Im intrigued as to me this doesn't seem too safe.. I dont want it to go pop!

Im just round the corner from R-Tech and DynoDaze too, but i have on good sources (friends who have been their) that all r-techs maps have gone badly wrong.

Has anyone else remapped more than 30+bhp? Would you recommend?

The 150s map to 200 ish so thats more than 30bhp. The 120 astras map to about 170 ish from what ive seen on other forums. At the end of the day its not all about the figures. Yes figures are important but I personally would have a smoother power delivery rather than a **** map

Plus on a diesel it's torque you want to look at as that's where all your pull comes from

Mines mapped, switchable from 160bhp to 200bhp on the Sport button. Its safe enough but get it done properly otherwise you'll be best just sticking a box on it...

Arrr i understand now. Because as standard the base is only about 130 and then 150 on the button isnt it
