1.3 cdti engine

I'm thinking about getting a new astravan and just wondered if anyone's had any time with the 1.3cdti in the astravan?

Yep, I had one as a company car, 1.3CDTi Astra Estate, YC06 CMF in metallic grey, had it on 3,400 miles and handed it back at 74,000 miles.

Verdict: Brilliant... for a 1.3 (And thats not a joke)

I towed a 1300kg caravan to the Isle Of Wight and back and it never broke a sweat, it had a 6 speed box and was great on fuel, cheap tax, cheap running costs, well renowned 1.3CDTi common rail engine.

I used to get about 62mpg on a run and my combined average was roughly 47mpg with a partially loaded boot.

Im sure the combo vans I drive at work are the same 1.3 cdti engines and they get abused and still go on strong compared to the other vans we have. Theyre quite nippy too for a little 1.3 engine.
