Iv got a mk4 astravan and wondering if I can change the dull orange lights behind the light switchs/Time and date/ fan settings/lighter and the speedo to bright white ones? What bulbs would I need to get and is it easy to do?
Any help would be great

Yep it's easily done, try www.crazyleds.co.uk he does the full kit for the dash
IIRC theyre 509T twist lock bulbs for the MK4 dash. Thats for the speedo, time display and heater controls.
Cheers,is it just removing the centre console to fit bulbs and do the 509t twist bulbs work for the time/date/temp display ?
Only thing to bear in mind is that the Mk4 display has an orange lens behind the LCD screen and makes other colours look washed out although it can be removed, you only need replace it with a piece of paper to remove the hotspots that woud otherwise appear with brighter bulbs .
Not all of them Chris Just the newer ones in that range.Only thing to bear in mind is that the Mk4 display has an orange lens behind the LCD screen and makes other colours look washed out although it can be removed, you only need replace it with a piece of paper to remove the hotspots that woud otherwise appear with brighter bulbs .
My 51 plate 3 door had one mate
Iv ordered some bulbs and I'll have a look when I get them. If I get stuck ill pop round yours Chris if you don't mind.
Yep I got an idea how to solve this problem.. Use the spare one iv got cut the middle out so it's just a spacer and place paper over as the screen, what you think?( it's too green with just the bulbs and orange screen in).cheers for sorting it today budOnly thing to bear in mind is that the Mk4 display has an orange lens behind the LCD screen and makes other colours look washed out although it can be removed, you only need replace it with a piece of paper to remove the hotspots that woud otherwise appear with brighter bulbs .
