Hi I'm not having a good day, fitted two new rear springs today only to find its sits too high now at the back, its a 2009 SRi 1.9 150 XP and is lower than normal SRI's, the spring had SJ on it, are they the same as VXR srpings as I've seen SJ on VXR ones, mine are 288mm.
Only ask as someone has two VXR ones for sale.
Any help as my wing mirror just fell out just to add insult to injury ffs!
Thanks.

I have vxr springs all round on my sri 1.9
Im not sure on exact drop but due to weight of the diesels they lower the car by around 1-2cm? Maybe a touch more but its not a massive drop i can only really notice mine when next to standard car
U unsure if it sits higher id say they are from a none sri or vxr model as most models had standard sizes, sris had a slightly lower ride height and the vxrs slightly lower then sris?
Mr gair can confirm or piddle on what ive said as he is pretty clued up on springs n tingz
boggsy, give it a chance to settle mate, they take a couple of days to do so, @Ginger_Jez, everything you say is right mate, I taught you well my young padawan
I fitted standard springs instead of lower SRi ones, they are about an inch higher on the rear than the front, I measured from the center of the wheel to the arch,
Front is 368mm
Rear is 398mm,
It looks ridiculous, I tore the bottom rubber as I twisted the spring to get the socket on the clamps, its just been one of those days, fixing two cars in a rush while we have a bit of sun.......
Steve, you might be just as well getting a set of VXR springs on it then mate, 40 quid will buy you a good set and failing that, III_ASH_III has a set of aftermarket springs for sale currently, they ere a very nice but subtle drop with good ride characteristics too
Its easier to remember if i remember it in your strong brummie accent lolboggsy, give it a chance to settle mate, they take a couple of days to do so, @Ginger_Jez, everything you say is right mate, I taught you well my young padawan
boggsy here you go mate, if you want them make me an offer

When I was younger I would have had them, but my wife and kids don't like the harsh ride from lowering, so I can't do it anymore, I'm only changing the springs as I had a broken one for the MOT, thanks anyways.
