    changes to the mot

    As of feb14th 2014 dieslel vehicles fitted with a cat or a DPF as standard that has been removed will FAIL the mot so all the cars with a decat or a DPF removed and remapped will fail.

      I can see most people just smashing the innards out of the standard dpf rather than removing it completely now.

      I thought I'd got a DPF so I did some research, this is exactly how people get round the MOT. Have the DPF removed and hacked in to and then put back on. So for the MOT tester everything looks normal, no reason to fail it.

      The MOT tester isn't gonna waste time seeing if the DPF is mapped out surely?

      Some good news though, I ain't got one

      I know that now dude but when I first heard the horror stories of the DPF's I had to do some digging to make sure I hadn't got one. was very happy when I realised I hadn't got one.
