HELP Astra 1.9 Pedal & ECU

Hi guys, experienced my first fault which rendered my car un-drivable for the first time in 18 months of ownership. Car went into limp mode with the traction control light appearing and service light the one with the spanner. First noticed this was about to happen as i was driving and trying to accelerate but car wasn't as responsive as usual, felt like it had a boost issue then planted my foot and as soon as i hit 3k it went into limp mode. Switch it off and on again it was fine for a few seconds then it went again. kept doing this i had to drive home a mile or so in limp mode with my hazards on.

Got home and asked a mate to drop me to work to pick up the van so i could try find an accelerator pedal in the morning as that's what the pedal test suggested, however after picking the van up and talking to mate for a while about 30 minutes had passed parked the van at home and went to start the car to give it ago as before i went i disconnected the pedal plug and reseated it still to no avail. However on this occasion it she started all was fine it rev fine took it for a quick drive and power was back and no more limp home mode.

Does this then suggest that it is an ecu fault with possible dry joints? if so where could i take it in the morning to have this quickly attended to? would @Pecky be able to do this? if so pecky would you be free this weekend and what is the cost incurred as i really need to use car as i have booked few days off following week to get some stuff sorted that i haven't had time with doing.

Thanks in advance as usual you lovely bunch

Unfortunately I'm down London at the moment and I'm not sure exactly when I will be back up to the midlands before Sunday night.

Do you know what fault codes you had, that may help?

It's only 2 codes, it's just he doesn't know which Symptom code it is so can't narrow it down.

It's not unheard of for the pedal box to fail.

ahhh i see.. Need to narrow it down to find out what exactly went wrong then.. Suppose one fault firing up causes all the others to pop up
