    Front XP Splitter

So thinking of wrapping the front splitter as its in a sorry state...

Does anybody know if it detaches from the front bumped? I can see what looks like small screws or caps to something in the front wheelarches?

Wasnt sure if its bonded on and these screws were to hold it in place while drying?

Its got strong double sided tape on it mate so if you take it off you will have to stick it back on with double sided tape or something like tiger seal

as said i would use something like tiger seal or very strong thin double tape... you certainly dont want it coming off when your driving!

Can I just point out that while it will be easier to wrap the item once it's removed from the bumper, it's worth considering this:

Can you remove it without damaging it ? (this stuff is notoriously difficult to remove without damage and you're crap at this stuff by your admission)

Are you happy enough to have it bonded back on and confident of making sure that you don't use excessive bonding mastic so that it oozes over the edges ?

Once it's bonded back on, the vinyl that you wrap it with will NOT be fully removable due to being sandwiched with mastic between the bumper and the splitter

Have you thought about just removing the bumper and wrapping it and then cutting it to follow the join line where it attaches to the bumper ?

Hmm the second line is a valid point id probably snap the thing in half lol

But then how likely is it ill be abke to remove the bumper and reattatch it on my own? Lol as im guessing its illegal to drive the car without the bumper fixed on
